Stabilizer for this AC

Usually not needed

Most inverter ACs work from about 145 V. Check the range on your model sheet. Use a good MCB and earthing instead.

Service and repair team

Voltage problems at home?

Our technician can check the voltage, earthing and MCB when they service the AC.

We reply in about 15 minutes, Mon to Sat, 9 AM to 7 PM.

What to check when you buy

  • Working range that covers your lowest voltage.
  • Time delay of 3 to 5 minutes. It protects the compressor after a power cut.
  • Copper winding and a digital voltage display.

In the monsoon, voltage swings are common. See our monsoon AC guide.

Common questions

›Does an inverter AC need a stabilizer?

Usually not. Most inverter ACs work from about 145 V to 290 V. You need one only if your voltage drops below that, which happens in some old buildings and rural areas.

›Which stabilizer for a 1.5 ton AC?

A 4 kVA stabilizer. Use 3 kVA for 1 ton and 5 kVA for 2 ton.

›Does a stabilizer save electricity?

No. It protects the AC from voltage dips and spikes. It uses a small amount of power itself.
